Non Destructive Drilling

Non Destructive Drilling is the process of drilling with high pressure water jets and a vacuum pump.  The process is ideal for the discovery of services, especially telephone, power and gas lines.  Because the process is not mechanical in nature there is an insignificant risk of damage to the service.

Once the service location has been identified then more powerful drilling techniques can be used nearby without risk to the underground services.

NDD can also be used to drill larger holes up to 6m deep where the risk of damaging services is too great, for example holes to erect power poles in built-up areas where there are large concentrations of services.

Our vacuum unit is trailer mounted and can be used in tight locations and moved around most sites with a land cruiser or fork lift.
